A local Polish store is organising collections of humanitarian relief for the massive amounts of refugees fleeing the invasion of the Ukraine.

Smakoteka store off the Old Dublin Road in Galway City is accepting donations of clothes and other goods that will help the people fleeing the Russian invasion.

The store is accepting marked carboard boxes of new blankets, baby blankets, sleeping bags, towels pillows and duvets.

People can also donate new clothes such as winter jackets, rain jackets, as well as sanitary items and baby food. More details available here.

Ballinasloe Community Creche is also organising donations which will be delivered to refugees in Poland through Polish shops in Ireland.

Donations of clothes, sanitary products, food, and essential medical items can be dropped off at the creche at Poolboy Ballinasloe.
