Killimor ladies Noeleen Reilly and Mary Guinan recently raised €7,500 for Galway Hospice.

The two women held a tea dance in Treacy’s Bar in Killimor in aid of Galway Hospice which got a huge response fro the community.

The hospice team gave them a shout out on facebook, saying “A huge thank you to Noeleen, Mary and everyone who supported the night”.

Seen in the picture above are Noreen and Mary presenting the cheque for €7,500 to Trisha Burke from the hospice.

Galway Hospice is the primary source of palliative care in the city with a day care and 18 bed residential unit at its premises in Renmore.

The hospice is hugely dependent on the goodwill of people in the community and fundraising efforts like that undertaken by Noreen and Mary to keep its services going.
