A free public event will take place in Galway city tomorrow to celebrate International Day of Disabled People.

The Galway Activism Group is holding a picnic event to encourage equality and inclusiveness for disabled people living in Galway.

The free event will take place at the Galmont Hotel on December 3 from 7pm – 9pm.

The aim of the event according to the Galway Activism Group is to “look at how we can all work together to ensure inclusion, participation and true equality for all Galway people.”

“A specific focus of the evening will be how we can work with our political representatives to protect our rights and ensure we all have the necessary supports to fully integrate into our Galway communities.”

“Join us for this important celebration of all things disability on our International Day of Disabled People.”

This free event will be accompanied by music, as any good celebration in Galway should be, with Christmas refreshments provided.

For more information on the evening please contact galwayactivism@gmail.com or call Susan on 0861712648.
