An injured hiker was airlifted to safety after getting into trouble on Diamond Hill yesterday.
The Cleggan Coast Guard, Galway Mountain Rescue Team, and Rescue 118 were called out to Connemara National Park on Wednesday afternoon.
A man in his 50s had injured his leg, and needed assistance to get off the hill.
The Coast Guard provided highline assistance for the Rescue helicopter to airlift the hiker safely to hospital.
