The Irish Drug Free Powerlifting Association Championships (IDFPA) are set to take place this year on the 5th and 6th of May at the New Maximum Results, Briarhill Business Park in Galway.

The IDFPA was first established in 1997 in order to promote the sport of Drug Free Powerlifting in Ireland with the association holding a strict drug free policy. Lifters are subject to test both in and out of competition with lifters failing to take or failing a test being subjected to a life ban from the organisation.
