Planning permission is being sought for a residential development of 27 houses in Tuam.
Limekin Construction has submitted plans to the county council for a housing estate on the south west side of town, at the existing Tir an Choir estate.
The estate would comprise a mix of two and three bedroom terraced and semi-detached houses.
Five of which would be sold to the council to comply with Part V planning requirements for social or affordable housing.
Access to the residential development would be via the existing estate road, which opens onto Barrack Street in Tuam.
The houses will be arranged around a central area of landscaped communal open space.
A decision on this planning application is due from Galway County Council by August 25 of this year.
