Galway Daily housing Approval given for Tuam housing development

Approval has been given for the construction of a housing development in Tuam consisting of 12 houses.

Coffey Construction Ltd intends to build 3 detached houses, 4 semi-detached houses, and five detached homes on the Weir Road in Tuam.

Planning permission for the residential development was granted by Galway County Council with 16 conditions attached.

The original application was for 14 houses, but the scheme was redesigned to omit one detached dwelling and one terraced house in favour of green public space at the request of the council.

The site on the Weir Road is currently a vacant patch of grassy land adjacent to existing housing estate at Carrigweir.

One of the semi-detached houses will be transferred to the county council for the provision of social housing as part of Part V planning requirements.
