University Hospital Galway has the second highest number of people on trolleys today, after University Hospital Limerick.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s figures show that 50 people are on trolleys at UHG.
University Hospital Limerick has 52 and South Tipperary General Hospital has 37 people waiting on trolleys.
The total number across the state today is 483.
Nearly 620 people waited on trolleys at UHG during August.
