Helplink Mental Health celebrated ten years of providing support for those who find themselves struggling on World Suicide Prevention Day yesterday.
Over the past ten years, Helplink has provided over 18,000 counselling appointments for children, young people and adults in the West and from further afield.
Last year alone they provided more than 6,000 appointments illustrating the large national trend of increased mental health support seeking from the public.
The not-for-profit organisation also now offers in-person appointments in its Galway and Mayo offices.
In 2020 Helplink released a national e-learning platform called Mind Hacks, giving the public have free 24/7 access to unique mental health video and podcast libraries.
