A status yellow rain warning has been issued for Co. Galway by Met Éireann today, with up to 40mm of rain forecast.
The weather warning was issued at 11.00am and will be in force from 4.00pm today until 4.00am tomorrow morning.
Met Éireann are warning people in Galway that spot flooding may occur in parts.
The warning applies only to Co. Galway and Munster.
