UHG is the second most overcrowded hospital in the country again today, with 56 patients on trolleys.
There are 70 people in total who have been admitted to hospital in Galway today, who do not have a proper bed.
At University Hospital Galway there are 50 people on trolleys in the emergency department, and six without a bed in the wards.
Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe is also having a bad day, with 14 patients without a bed, eight in the ED and six in the wards.
Figures from the INMO Trolley/Ward Watch show that there are 529 people in Irish hospitals with no bed available today.
The worst affected by this overcrowding are Cork University Hospital (70), UHG (56), and Limerick (53).
