A person has been arrested following the stabbing of a garda in Galway earlier today.
The Journal.ie understands that the garda was stabbed in the upper body and that the incident occurred at a house in Oranmore.
The garda is not thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries and the Gardaí are at the scene.
