Galway University Hospitals are hosting an interfaith memorial service this week for all those who died last year.
The 14th annual Interfaith Memorial Service, organised by the hospitals’ End of Life Committee, will take place at 7pm on Thursday, November 30 in the Ardilaun Hotel.
Galway University Hospitals care for patients from a wide geographical area and the End of Life Committee wants to reach out and acknowledge the loss felt by all families and friends who have been bereaved.
The theme of the service is “Le Chéile, bringing us together to remember our patients alongside their families and loved ones. In this year’s service, those who died in 2022 will especially be remembered. We hope that those bereaved will take some solace in knowing that their loved one has not been forgotten.
“Those we love don’t go away they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved & dearly missed.”
