A garda officer from Galway appeared before Trim Circuit Court on Tuesday, remanded on bail in connection with a fatal road traffic incident two years ago.
According to the Irish Times Patrick McDonell from Corofin, Co. Galway is charged with dangerous driving causing death from a collision from two years ago.
Jacqueline Wolohan (51) of Kilmore, Coolock, Dublin was killed in a crash on February 13, 2016.
The mother of three lost her life when her car was involved in a collision on the M4 motorway between Enfield and Kinnegad.
A date for the trial will be set when the case next comes before the court in February.
