Galway Heuston train delayed in Ballinasloe as paramedics treat passenger

The Galway to Heuston Station train is delayed due to a passenger requiring medical assistance.

Iarnród Éireann said that the 9.30 train from Galway to Heuston Station was running 40 minutes late due to one of the passengers needing medical assistance.

They have confirmed that the train is currently at Ballinsloe, where ambulance personnel are onsite assisting the ill passenger.

UPDATE: The train has now departed from Ballinasloe 55 minutes late.
