Galway Daily news Galway Christmas Market returns

The annual Galway City Christmas Market will return next month, bringing fun, food, and craft goods to the city centre for two months.

The city council has confirmed that Eyre Square North will be closed to traffic from November 5 until January 9 in order to facilitate the Christmas Market.

There were almost half a million visitors to the Christmas Market last year, and with the 2023 Market extended for an even longer period, we can expect to see that number topped this year.

Last year there were more than 50 wooden cabins serving bratwurst, pretzels, crêpes and waffles spread across the Square.

Visitors also got to enjoy a view of Galway from atop the Ferris Wheel, create fun for the family on the Carousel, and enjoy some craic with friends in the Beer Tent.
