There is flooding reported on the N83 between Tuam and Dunmore this afternoon, but the county council has said that the road is still passable.

The flooding due to excess surface water is at Forty Acres on the Tuam to Dunmore road.

The road is passable with care, and the council is urging motorists to exercise extreme caution on all roads due to surface water today.

Galway remains under a Status Yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall until 2pm today.

The weather warning for all of Connacht, along with Donegal, Clare, and Kerry was issued by Met Eireann covering 24 hours from 2pm yesterday.
