Traffic in Portumna will be disrupted next week by a five days of roadworks in the town.

Galway County Council is carrying out Resurfacing Overlay roadworks on St. Joseph’s Road in Portuman town.

Work will commence on Monday, June 21 and is expected to take five days to complete.

“In order to facilitate these works a Stop/Go temporary traffic management system will be in operation on the section of the R352 in question between the hours of 7am and 7pm on Monday 1st of July 2019 through to Friday, July 5,” the county council said.

“As a consequence users of this road are requested to expect delays and as such should allow additional time for their journeys.’’

The contract for these works has been awarded to Lagan Asphalt Ltd.
