Monivea Rugby Club has received planning approval to for extensive renovations to its clubhouse and player facilities.
Galway county council has given the rugby club permission to build a new clubhouse and changing rooms with a combined floor space of 265m².
The dressing rooms currently in portacabins will be removed to make way for improved parking facilities.
The rugby club submitted the application for these works with the county council towards that end of September.
Along with the new buildings, the club will also have to install a waste water management system to handle the their output.
The county council gave permission for works to go ahead with a total of eight conditions attached.
