The popular Loughrea Hotel & Spa is seeking approval for a significant expansion, adding a new guest wing and car parking.
Planning permission is being sought by Atlantic Troy Ltd for a new building next to the existing hotel & spa.
Forming part of a larger hotel complex, this will add 18 new guest suites to the business.
The plans also include a new car park around the building connected to the existing parking, with 65 spaces total, as well as a new entrance onto the Athenry Road.
The developer is also seeking to retain permission for the demolition of a derelict cottage currently on the site.
Galway County Council is due to make a decision on this planning application by January 28.
