Prior warning notices issued for Ballyloughane and Grattan beaches last week have been removed after positive water quality results.
The City Council gave prior warning notices last Friday, for people to beware of possible bacterial contamination.
There were concerns that a period of heavy rainfall could lead to contaminated water runoff.
Water samples from taken from both beaches on Monday, August 23, and have returned ‘excellent’ water quality results.
The Prior Warning notices were lifted for both the Ballyloughane and Grattan areas as of Wednesday evening.
