Disruptions to traffic on the N84 are expected for the next eight weeks with roadworks getting underway on the national route today.

Traffic will be affected by Fibre Optic Cable Laying works on the N84 between Ballindooley and Headford which got underway on Monday morning.

The works are starting between Ballindooley Cross and Corrandulla Cross before proceeding on towards Headford.

It’s expected that the works will take between six and eight weeks to complete.

A traffic management plan will be in place along the N84 while the fibre optic cable is being laid.

Motorists travelling in the area are being advised by the county council to expect delays in the coming weeks.
