Galway man Rory Tierney and his fundraising partner Emma will brave the cold Atlantic Ocean every day this month to raise money for St Annin’s National School in Roscahill.
The duo hope to raise funds so that the school can build a sensory room and other learning supports.
Rory said that it is difficult to commit to doing something every day for an entire month but they are going to give it a go.
“We are planning to take a dip a day in the sea every day in September, no matter what the weather!” he said.
“This sensory area will be a fantastic addition for present children and for future children of St Annin’s.”
