Dominick Street to close for sewer survey on Wednesday

Dominick Street Upper in Galway city will be closed overnight on Tuesday to facilitate survey works.

The city council has issued a notice that Dominick street upper will be closed between the Fairhill road junction and William street from 7pm on Tuesday until 6am on Wednesday morning.

The closure is to allow Irish Water to carry out a sewer survey on the street.

Motorists traveling westbound are advised to divert via Fairhill Road, Fr. Griffin Road, and Munster Avenue.

Alternative routes for traffic diversions will be signposted overnight.

Local access will be maintained at all time while the road is closed.
