Hundreds of Galway’s restaurants, cafés and bars are teaming up with local food producers for a European Region of Gastronomy extravaganza of the best local food during Dine In Galway.

The events will take place between the 5th and the 11th of November.

Specially designed menu items will highlight first-class regional produce that showcase Galway’s world-class food and dining landscape.

Programme co-ordinator for ERoG, Galway Elaine Donohue said: “We are delighted and proud that Galway’s restaurants, cafés and bars are putting local ingredients at the centre of their menus for Dine In Galway in celebration of the European Region of Gastronomy title.

“Galway’s dining landscape is renowned throughout Ireland and internationally for being exceptional.

“The city and county boasts more than 350 restaurants — two with Michelin stars and now three having Bib Gourmands.

“Key to this success is the recognition by chefs and restaurant owners of the superb quality of the region’s local ingredients and the value of sourcing from local food producers in terms of freshness, flavour and sustainability.”

The Restaurants Association of Ireland’s Galway representative Eimear Killian, from Brasserie on the Corner, Eglinton Street, Galway, said: “We are very excited to showcase our connection with producers for Dine In Galway.”
