Global cyber security company A-LIGN is creating 40 jobs in Galway with the opening of a new office in Ireland.

The US based security and compliance solutions provider has chosen Galway as the location for its new EMEA Business HQ.

The 40 jobs that come with the opening of this new location are expected to be filled over the course of the next five years.

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said that the choice of Galway is a “real vote of confidence” in the city and what it has to offer businesses.

A-LIGN has over 2,500 clients globally, and the opening of this new Galway office will ensure that European customers get superior cyber security service, with consultants and support staff closer to home.

Scott Price, Chief Executive Officer at A-LIGN said “Organisations around the world want to demonstrate to their customers and business partners that they take security seriously.”

“Our expansion into Ireland will allow us to better serve clients across the European Union who are looking for top-tier compliance experts that move at startup speed.”

CEO of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan said, “A-LIGN’s decision to establish its EMEA Business HQ in Galway exemplifies IDA Ireland’s track record of winning high-value projects for regional locations.

“A-LIGN is a welcome addition to the West’s Tech cluster and demonstrates the availability of a highly skilled and talented workforce across the region.”

Recruitment is due to begin later this year.  For more information visit A-LIGN’s website at www.a-lign.com.
