The October Bank Holiday weekend was a celebratory one for most young people, but not so for one young man attacked in Galway City.
A young man was the victim of an assault on Quay Street in the Latin Quarter in the early hours of Sunday.
Gardaí said that the man in his late teens suffered injuries in the attack which were not life-threatening.
“Gardaí in Galway are investigating an assault which occurred on Quay Street, Galway on the morning of Sunday October 24, 2021,” a statement to Galway Daily said.
“The incident occurred shortly after midnight, with a male in his late teens sustaining non life threatening injury.”
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí in Galway on 091 538 000.”
