Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 60s was terrorised by a group of men during a burglary near North Galway yesterday.
An investigation is underway into an aggravated burglary at a premises in the Ashpark area of Ballintober, Co. Roscommon that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.
During the burglary, a group of men entered the premises, where a man in his 60s was also present.
He was injured during the incident, but Gardaí say that his injuries were not life threatening, and he did not require medical attention.
The suspected offenders fled the scene with a sum of cash.
Gardaí in Castlerea are appealing to any person who was in the area of Ashpark, Ballintober between 10.30pm on Sunday, August 21 and 12.30am on Monday morning to contact them.
