A man is due to appear before the courts this morning in connection with a €34,000 cannabis seizure in Galway City yesterday.
Gardaí seized 1.7kg of cannabis after searching a house in the Headford Road area on Monday.
The search was the result of a multi-agency operation involving Revenue Customs Service personnel, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit.
A man in his late 30s was arrested at the scene and detained overnight.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before Galway District Court at 10:30am this morning.
