A man arrested on suspicion of murder after the discovery of a woman’s body in Sligo last week has been released without charge.
Gardaà are investigating the discovery of the body of Angela Canavan (50s) in Sligo Town on Monday, May 1.
Her body was found at her home in St. John’s Terrace in Sligo Town, on the ground floor, on the evening of May 1.
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of murder last Sunday morning and detained at a Garda Station in the region.
Gardaà have said today that the man has since been released without charge, and that a file will be prepared for the DPP.
