Gardaí are investigating a burglary at a business in Loughrea town centre which took place last week.
The burglary at the premises on Main Street Loughrea took place at approximately 2:05am on Wednesday, January 31.
It’s understood that the owner of the business was threatened by one of the thieves using a weapon during the course of the burglary.
Gardaí have said to Galway Daily that no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
However, there was damage to property, and a number of items were stolen from the business.
No arrests have yet been made in relation to this, and investigations are ongoing.
