Gardaí are investigating a shooting in Bohermore last night, where a gun was fired at the front door of a house.
The incident took place at a residence in Coole Park at approximately 10.30pm on Wednesday night.
A shot was fired at the door of the house. No injuries were reported a Garda spokesperson said.
The scene is currently preserved and a technical examination has been completed by investigating Gardaí.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
Gardaí in Galway are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this shooting incident to come forward.
In particular, anyone who was in the area of Coole Park, Forster Court and surrounding roads between 10pm and 11pm and who may have information is asked to come forward.
Any road users with camera footage are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
