A number of people are due before the courts this evening in connection with a violent brawl at Tuam cemetery.
Gardaà arrested eight people today, seven men and one woman, over the brawl at the cemetery on September 22.
The men, aged from their 20s to their 50s, and the woman in her mid 20s, have since been charged.
They are due to appear before a sitting of Tuam District Court at 5:30pm on Monday evening.
More than 30 GardaÃ, including the regional armed support unit and officers from across the north west, were needed to break up the violent disorder at the cemetery.
Multiple people required treatment for their injuries at University Hospital Galway on the day.
