Gardaí from Portumna recently seized a car that tried to evade a checkpoint to avoid getting caught for tax and insurance.
Portumna Gardaí were operating a checkpoint in Kilchreest village, when they saw a vehicle turn around and away from the checkpoint.
They followed the car in question, and after stopping it found that it had no tax, insurance, or NCT.
The vehicle was seized under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act.
