Gardaí have seized €180,000 worth of suspected cannabis plants after a raid on a growhouse on Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly after 5pm on Wednesday, Gardaí attached to the Mayo Roscommon Longford Divisional Drugs Unit searched a property in Fairymount.
During the course of the search, a large scale grow house was located with cannabis plants at various stages of growth.
Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €180,000 were seized by investigating Gardaí.
The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
An Garda Síochána has said that investigations into this matter are ongoing.
This is the second major growhouse raid in the area this week after €700,000 worth of cannabis was found during the search of a property on Tuesday.
