UHG remains the hospital with the second highest number of COVID patients in the country, seeing no change in the latest figures.
The most recent data from the HSE shows that there were 27 confirmed cases at UHG as of Tuesday night, second only to 31 patients at Cork UH.
This number has remained relatively unchanged in the past week and a half, after there was a moderate drop from more than 30 cases each day on average.
The number of COVID patients in intensive care at UHG has also remained steady at five in the past few days.
At Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe, where patients levels have also remained steady, there were two confirmed cases as of Tuesday night.
Neither of the two patients at the Ballinasloe hospital is being treated in the ICU.
Nationwide there were 275 people in the country hospitalised with COVID-19, of whom 60 have been admitted to the ICU.
