Due to the Level 3 COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, Galway County Council will be moving its monthly meeting to Corrandulla.

The next statutory meeting of GCC will take place on Monday, October 19. Due to the Level 3 restrictions, it has been moved to the new Corrandulla Community Hall Cathaoirleach James Charity said.

“As the Cathaoirleach of the County and local representative for the area, I note this is the first time Galway County Council have met in Corrandulla village, and I am happy that in the current times, we have a venue that is able to accommodate the Council,” Cllr Charity said.

This change has only been possible due to the support of the council’s administrative staff and COVID-19 officers Cllr Charity added.

It will “ensure matters affecting the County can continue to be discussed by the members Hall,” he said, adding “Many thanks to Annaghdown Parish Council for making the facility available to the Council.”
