The Department of Health has reported ten new cases of COVID-19 in Galway and 371 additional cases nationally.
Thirteen further deaths related to the virus were also reported this evening by health officials, of which three are from April and ten from previous months.
The 14-day incidence rate in Galway now stands at 81.8 cases per 100,000 people, with 211 new cases recorded here in the past two weeks.
77% of the new cases nationally are under 45 years of age and the median age is 28 years old.
The age range of the 13 deaths reported today was 60 to 95 and the median age was 85.
As of 8am today, 153 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 45 are in ICU. There have been 17 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
