The overall number of people with COVID-19 in Galway hospitals has remained relatively steady this week, while the confirmed cases in ICU has fallen by 3 since Tuesday.
At 8pm yesterday evening there was a total of 45 confirmed Covid cases at University Hospital Galway and eight at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
Of those at UHG diagnosed with the disease, ten are in ICU – a decrease of three since Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile at Portiuncula, there are still three patients with Covid in ICU.
There were just two additional hospitalisations at UHG yesterday and one at Portiuncula, according to the latest HSE data released this morning.
Across the state, 1,308 people with Covid-19 are in hospital, of whom 188 are in ICU as of this morning.
