The Department of Health has this afternoon reported 1,631 new cases of COVID-19.
As of 8am today, 503 people diagnosed with COVID-19 are hospitalised nationally, of whom 101 are in ICU.
There has now been a total of 5,436 deaths related to the disease notified in Ireland.
This includes 67 deaths newly notified in the past week – since last Wednesday.
The Department of Health says that daily case numbers may change due to future data validation.
