There have been a further 8,631 total cases of COVID-19 from antigen and pcr tests reported by health officials today.
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has notified an additional 3,872 PCR-confirmed cases today.
In addition, there have been a further 4,759 positive antigen tests registered through the HSE portal.
As of 8am this morning there were 692 people hospitalised with the COVID, of whom 75 are in the ICU.
On Saturday the HPSC was notified of 5,091 PCR-confirmed cases, and 4,057 positive antigen tests registered.
Then on Sunday there were 4,400 PCR-confirmed cases reported, along with 3,893 positive antigen tests.

There have been 114,514 lab tests completed in the past week, 30% of which have tested positive for the virus.
A total of 2,695,836 booster vaccine doses have been administered as of yesterday, with 1,697 administered on Sunday.
