There have been a further 5,156 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by the Department of Health today.
As of this morning there were 503 people in the country hospitalised with the virus.
Of these patients, 110 have been admitted to intensive care units for treatment.

In the past week there has been a 14.6% positivity rate in the 222,895 tests carried out.
There have been a total of 913,670 vaccine booster shots administered in Ireland so far, including 87,906 people who are immunocompromised.
