The Department of Health has reported 3,726 new cases of COVID-19 in the State today.
At 8am this morning there were 493 COVID-19 patients in hospitals nationally, of whom 91 were in ICU.
There were 26 COVID-19 patients at University Hospital Galway at 8pm on Monday evening, with four of those in the intensive care unit.
One of the eight confirmed cases at Portiuncula Hospital was also in ICU when the data was taken.
A total of 2,855 new confirmed cases were reported by health officials yesterday.
