The Department of Health has reported 539 new cases of COVID-19 today and 14 further deaths related to the disease.
A total of 21 of the new cases are in Galway, while 245 are in Dublin, 42 in Meath, 29 in Kildare, 26 in Limerick and 24 in Cork.
The 14-day incidence rate in Galway now stands at 166.2 cases per 100,000 people, with 429 cases reported in the county over the past two weeks.
69% of the cases reported today are under 45 years of age while the median age is 33.
As of 8am today, 414 people with COVID-19 are in hospitals across the State, of which 101 are in ICU. There have been 22 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
The median age of those who died was 80 years and the age range was 59 to 94 years. There has been a total of 4,419 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland.
