There have been a further 1,051 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported by the Department of Health today.
There were 319 people in the country hospitalised with COVID-19 as of this morning.
Of these patients, 60 have been admitted to intensive care units in serious condition.
In the past week, 146,128 people have been tested for coronavirus, with a positivity rate of 6.2%.
The latest hospital figures for Galway, as of Saturday night, show 17 confirmed cases in hospital here.
There are 15 patients at University Hospital Galway, up by three on the previous day, and two at Portiuncula Hospital.
Just one patient at University Hospital Galway has been admitted to the ICU.
