There were no deaths related to COVID-19 today, but 18 new coronavirus cases in the Republic of Ireland were reported to the Department of Health.

There have now been a total of  25,527 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland, and the pandemic has claimed a total of 1,741 lives in the state.

The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.

County by county statistics will next be available on Monday, but other detailed statistics can be viewed on the department’s COVID-19 dashboard.
