There are now four people in University Hospital Galway with COVID-19, one of whom is in intensive care.
The latest HSE data shows that there are no confirmed COVID cases at Portiuncula, but there is one suspected case.
There are three further suspected coronavirus cases at UHG.
UHG has 19 general beds available – which is the fourth highest number of general beds of any hospital in the Republic. There are no beds available in Ballinasloe.
But there are no ICU beds available at UHG, while there are two at Portiuncula.
The latest update from the Department of Health reported 11 cases yesterday. Sixteen cases have been reported in the county in the last three days.
