There have been six further deaths related to COVID-19 reported by the Department of Health today, along with 183 new coronavirus cases.
Of the cases notified today, 7 are in Galway. The 14-day incidence rate in the county is now 45.7 cases per 100,000 population.
There have been a total of 73,228 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland since the start of the pandemic, and 2,080 deaths have been related to COVID-19.
Validation of data by the HPSC has resulted in the denotification of 21 previously confirmed cases, which is reflected in the total figures.
As of 2pm today there are 239 people in hospital confirmed to have COVID-19, of whom 32 are in Intensive Care. There have been 10 people hospitalised in the past 24 hours.

- 82 are men / 101 are women
- 60% are under 45 years of age
- the median age is 36 years old
- 56 in Dublin, 26 in Donegal, 13 in Limerick, 11 in Kilkenny, 11 in Monaghan and the remaining 66 cases are spread across 15 other counties.
