There are 24 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in Galway’s hospitals according to the latest figures from the HSE.
Data from the HSE shows that as of 8pm on Sunday, November 1 that there were 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases at University Hospital Galway, and another 7 at Portiuncula Hospital.
In addition, there are a further six suspected cases at UHG, and one at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
The number of COVID patients in Galway in Intensive Care has remained steady, with 1 person in ICU in Portiuncula, and three confirmed case and one suspected case at UHG.
There were just seven new confirmed cases reported in Galway yesterday as the number of daily cases has continued to decline.
However, hospitalisation levels in Galway have yet to follow suit after climbing back up in recent weeks.
