There were twelve patients with COVID-19 in Galway’s hospitals as of Sunday evening in the latest figures from the HSE.
As of 8pm Sunday there were nine confirmed cases at UHG, a figure which has remained steady in recent days, and three at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
There is one confirmed COVID patient in the Intensive Care Unit at each hospital.
At University Hospital Galway, there were a further three suspected cases for which test results were awaited.
Nationwide the HSE reports there were 220 people hospitalised with COVID-19 on Sunday night, of whom 50 were in the ICU.
There were a further two deaths nationally reported yesterday, only one of which occurred this month.
Another 303 confirmed cases around the country were also reported, the lowest level of daily cases seen since mid-December.
